Khosla Profil was established by Pramod Khosla in 1979, a first generation entrepreneur for the manufacturing of Polypropylene Filtration Fabrics. Since then it has done both backward and forward integration & expanded its production facilities with the best technology equipment, to become one of Asia’s largest Technical Textile player. The company has 4 manufacturing plants in Wada (02 nos.), Daman and Ghaziabad. It is a vertically diversified company starting from chips/yarn to made-ups under one roof for Liquid Filtrations. Similarly it is manufacturing Dry Filtration products right from fiber to fabrics and up to ready dust collection bags. It is equipped with state of art latest technology machines for each stage of spinning/ weaving/ needling/ finishing/ coating/ lamination/ laser cutting and stitching for the manufacturing of high performance filter fabrics & made-ups for both India and global process industries. Over 1200 people are working in the organization. It is equipped with best laboratories and testing equipment for quality control and product development. Due to its vast experience of over 4 decades and state-of–the-art manufacturing facilities, with strict quality control under ISO 9001 : 2015 it offers the best quality filtration products from India today. The products and solutions offered by the company currently includes, filtration fabrics for liquid/dry filtration, awnings, tents, boat cover fabrics, belting fabrics for conveying industries, etc.

GLOBAL PRESENCE

Khosla Profil has a global presence. 2/3 rd of the company’s production is exported over 64 countries around the world, with its key export markets being USA, Europe, and South America. The company faced the Covid situation quite bravely. Since it’s a manufacturer of filter fabric for the pharma Industry it was allowed production soon after the lockdown.

The company has continued check-ups of its stall/employees, every 15 days and ensured that they are healthy & safe. The company feels that the new Textile Minister is highly focused and enhancing both the production and exports of Technical Textiles. However, it felt that to its surprise the Indutech sector in which it is functioning, has been completely left out of the PLI scheme. The company has represented strongly for the same.

EXPANSION PLANS

The company has got expansion plans in the pipeline. It had invested over Rs. 100crore in the last 2 years to enhance its production capacity. The company is planning further Rs. 100crore investment in the coming year for balancing equipment and expanding nonwoven capacity. NEW LAUNCH

The company shares a good relationship with Messe Frankfurt India. It was the first company from India to exhibit both in Frankfurt and Atlanta, never missing a show thereafter. The company feels that the Techtextil shows, both international and domestic have always helped it significantly to showcase its products and find new customers. The company is planning to launch a new product for nonwoven high temperature filtration media with special lamination produced in-house at its new plant. It will be done in person. Khosla Profil’s vision for the immediate future is to aim to achieve over Rs.750crore turnover by 2025-26.
