Spunweb India Private Limited (SIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Spunweb Nonwoven Limited (SNL), enhances installed capacity with the strategic acquisition of two advanced production lines. SIPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of SNL, a leading name in India’s spunbond nonwoven fabric manufacturing industry, has announced a significant capacity expansion with the acquisition of two advanced production lines – a 3.2-meter single beam nonwoven fabric production line and a 1.6-meter single beam nonwoven fabric production line.

In the words of Mr. Jay Kagathara, Managing Director, SIPL: “With this addition, we are not only expanding our operational capacity but also reinforcing our commitment to delivering excellence to
our customers. These machines will play a key role in meeting rising demand while maintaining the highest standards of quality.”

This strategic investment will enhance SIPL’s installed production capacity by approximately 53%, increasing from 12,240 MT to 18,740 MT. In conjunction with SNL’s existing capacity, the group’s total installed capacity will grow by nearly 20%, from 32,640 MT to 39,140 MT. As part of the expansion, SIPL’s production infrastructure will be augmented by approximately 45,000 square feet, further strengthening its operational backbone. The move is expected to generate an approximate 20% increase in employment, reinforcing the group’s commitment to socio-economic development alongside industrial growth.

The new production lines are expected to commence operations by Q3 of the current financial year. These state-of-the-art machines will not only enhance production capacity but also drive improvements in product quality, operational efficiency, and cost optimization. Furthermore, they will support the development of new product lines catering to high-demand sectors such as packaging, agriculture, and industrial applications.

This capacity expansion is in line with the group’s long-term growth strategy to scale operations, embrace technological advancements, and address increasing market demands both domestically and internationally.
