In commemoration of this golden jubilee, VYTL unveiled a beautifully curated Coffee Table Book, “50 Years of Stitching Excellence”, a visual and narrative tribute to its legacy, people, products, and purpose.

The celebrations began on 25th June 2025 with a deeply emotional and nostalgic moment. Mr. Sanjeev Narula, Managing Director of VYTL, and Mr. Chris Alt, President of A&E, presented the first copy of the commemorative Coffee Table Book to Mr. S. P. Oswal, Chairman of the Vardhman Group, in the presence of Ms. Suchita Oswal Jain, Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director of Vardhman Textiles. Mr. Oswal fondly recounted stories from the company’s earliest days, reflecting on the people, decisions, and values that shaped the foundation of what VYTL is today.
The following day, on 26th June, the Coffee Table Book was formally launched at the company’s Hoshiarpur facility in a spirited event attended by senior leadership including Mr. Tarun Chawla, Mr. Neeraj Abbott, and department heads. The occasion provided a perfect backdrop to revisit the journey, relive the milestones, and re-energize the workforce for the journey ahead.
From Mahavir Spinning Mills to a Modern-Day Powerhouse
VYTL’s story began in 1974 under the name Mahavir Spinning Mills, marking its foray into the spinning segment. By 1980, the company had introduced its first range of sewing threads. The ensuing decades saw continuous expansion and product innovation: entering the ready-made garment segment in 1988, launching Tora in 1987, and pioneering premium core-spun threads by 1998.
A major turning point came in 2008, when VYTL entered into a strategic joint venture with American & Efird, a move that synergized the strengths of two global leaders in threads and textile manufacturing. This partnership enabled VYTL to scale new heights in technology, technical know-how, and international market reach—solidifying its leadership in India’s threads industry.
