As Hemant Dantkale of D N Associates points out, making the sourcing of global technologies and products easy for Indian textile manufacturers is one step in ensuring quality that confirms to international standards
D N Associates is a partnership firm established in 2015 by two technocrats with experience of more than 30+ years in sales and service for a 70-year-old company called DEECO Mechatron Marketing, which was then handling the business of Japanese and European manufacturers of textile machinery and accessories. “With their support and assistance, we took over for the continuance of the business,” says Hemant Dantkale, co-founder of D N Associates. The company has since then been a representative for some leading firms from across the world.
These include N Schlumberger (France), a world leader in long fibre spinning machinery; Andritz (France), a renowned manufacturer of nonwoven lines; Laroche AA (France), leading manufacturer of textile waste recycling lines, air-lay nonwoven and opening blending lines; LACOM (Germany), manufacturer of hot-melt laminating and coating machines; Mariplast (Italy), manufacturer of complete range of yarn carriers, especially dye tubes and ring bobbins; Morchem (Spain), producer of hot-melt adhesives for technical textiles; FARE (Italy), manufacturer of fibre production lines, spun bond and melt-blown nonwoven lines; and Schott and Meissner (Germany), producer of a wide range of equipment required in the line of nonwovens and technical textiles.
Most of these principals supply complete lines for the products and also peripheral equipment required for the line. They confirm the products and specifications and ensure that the same are delivered on time. They also provide complete technical services for their lines. D N Associates offers products and services across India. “All our representations are exclusive and pan-India. Our association with most of the referred principals is of more than three decades and that has built complete support, trust and confidence in us,” says Dantkale. The firm has 14 professionals onboard that includes a core team of eight members with techno-commercial responsibility. “Technical support and services are our core strengths,” Dantkale states.
Apart from sales, D N Associates provides services for installation, commissioning, after-sales and technical audit from technicians trained at some of the principals. The registered office is in Nagpur with its head office in Mumbai and branch office at Coimbatore. The company works closely with some of the major textile producers, including all long fibre spinners of wool, acrylic and linen. These include Raymond, Aditya Birla Group, Vardhman Textiles, Oswal Group, Donear (OCM), etc. Its customers also include NSC, Welspun, Autotech for Andritz, Kusumgar, Entremonde and seven other companies for LACOM.
“We offer our services to almost all the laminators for Morchem and more than 300 textile units for yarn carriers of Mariplast. Our main USP is round-the-clock access. We have highly experienced sales and technical personnel to ensure complete customer satisfaction,” Dantkale says. As for the company’s future plans, Dantkale informs that their aim is to work with prompt attention so that all the queries of customers are attended to within the shortest time. “We are also working on including new principals which could be complementary to our existing principals and useful to enhance our supplies to existing segments of long fibre spinning, technical textiles and nonwovens manufacturing with all the available technologies i.e. dry laid, spun lace, wet laid, spun bond and melt-blown,” he adds.
