Sanathan has entrusted Salmoiraghi S.p.A. of Monza, Italy with the complete supply of a fully automatic handling system for man-made fibres at its new POY, FDY, and DTY plant.

The advanced system will manage all product-handling phases—from POY and FDY doffing, to transportation across various plant areas, to storage and palletization of FDY bobbins—completely automatically. With this solution, POY bobbins will be transported directly to the texturizing areas before being stored, ensuring seamless integration of production flows.
Bobbins produced by the texturizing machines will also be automatically transferred to storage and then to the packing sections, where they will be palletized in carton boxes and jumbo boxes—again, entirely without manual intervention.
Once fully operational, Salmoiraghi’s automation will handle approximately 60,000 POY bobbins, 50,000 FDY bobbins, and 140,000 DTY bobbins in what is being hailed as an innovative and futuristic project.
The entire process will be governed by a sophisticated software platform that employs advanced augmented intelligence to guarantee full efficiency and autonomous management of production flows, bobbin handling, and real-time production data.
This collaboration positions Sanathan’s new plant as a benchmark in modern fibre manufacturing, combining scale, automation, and intelligence for maximum efficiency and reliability.
