Available in plain, aperture, and embossed textures, these sustainable fabrics cater to personal care, medical, home care, and industrial segments. In FY25, the Spunlace segment recorded double-digit revenue growth with strong EBITDA contribution, further establishing its leadership. The business was also recognised as MATEXIL’s Top Exporter of the Year for blended fabrics, while its sharpened focus on high-value segments such as wellness wipes, hygiene products, and protective applications added further depth to its portfolio.

Wet Wipes & Beauty Sheet Masks
Welspun’s advanced conversion lines manufacture baby wipes, bath wipes, facial wipes, and cosmetic sheet masks, with an annual capacity of 100 million packs. In FY25, this business positioned itself as a preferred specialty solutions provider for leading Indian brands while also scaling exports through collaborations with global Indian players and U.S. big-box retailers.
Needlepunch: Engineered Performance for Demanding Applications
The company’s advanced Needlepunch facility produces nonwoven fabrics in the 50–1,000 GSM range, using synthetic and inherently flame-retardant (FR) fibres. These high-performance fabrics serve automotive interiors, filtration systems, industrial use, protective gear, and technical apparel. In FY25, the Needlepunch business delivered revenue growth with strong margins, reinforcing Welspun’s leadership in specialised FR nonwoven solutions in India, while also exploring strategic collaborations with new value-added products and customer segments.

Industry Context: Rising Demand for Technical Textiles
Technical textiles are increasingly valued for their mechanical, electrical, thermal, and durability attributes, with applications in defence, automotive, construction, and industrial sectors. Globally, the technical textiles market is projected to reach US$ 331.8 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 5.7% (2023–2032). Synthetic polymers and fibres continue to dominate the industry, though natural fibres are expected to gain traction, projected to grow by 182 BPS by 2032. This evolving material landscape positions Welspun to capitalize on both synthetic and natural fibre demand with its advanced capabilities.
With its scalable capacities, specialized technologies, and focus on high-value, sustainable solutions, Welspun Advanced Textiles has strengthened its leadership in the nonwovens and technical textiles sector. By aligning innovation with sustainability and expanding into global markets, the business is poised to capture the growing opportunities in hygiene, wellness, protective and industrial applications—solidifying its role as a future-ready leader in advanced textiles.
